Last updated: 30 October 2026. TranscriptAnything is a SAGOZEN Labs product, operated by SAGOZEN LLC (“we”, “us”). The English text governs; translations are for convenience only.
Terms
The service
TranscriptAnything turns audio and video into text. You paste a Google Drive, YouTube or direct media link, or upload a file, at transcriptanything.zhst.app or through the API, and receive a transcript with timestamps, plus an optional summary (the “Service”). By using the Service or buying credits you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
Transcripts are produced automatically and may contain errors. Check them before relying on them.
Your content
You may only upload, or link to, media you own or are licensed to use, including the right to transcribe it, and you are responsible for its copyright. DRM-protected sources (Spotify, Netflix, Apple Music and similar) are not supported, and we may switch off individual sources at any time.
Accounts
You may transcribe short media as a guest without an account. To buy credits or use the API you need an account. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live. Keep your email address working and your sign-in and API keys secure; you are responsible for all activity under your account. Do not share API keys, and tell us at hello@sagozen.digital if a key may be compromised.
Prepaid credits
- Media up to 3 minutes long is free when no paid add-on is requested, within daily free limits (5 files a day as a guest, 25 a day when signed in).
- Longer media costs credits per minute. Word-level timestamps and summaries are paid add-ons. The price is shown before you confirm a job.
- Every account has a monthly cap on transcribed minutes.
- Purchased credits are prepaid and sold in one-time packs. Prices are in US dollars and shown before checkout; taxes may be added at checkout where the law requires. There is no subscription, auto-renewal or automatic top-up.
- Purchased credits have no cash value outside the refund policy below and expire 24 months after purchase.
- If a job fails, its credits are released automatically. Summaries are charged only when they succeed.
- Payments are processed by Stripe or by Paddle (merchant of record), as shown at checkout. Their terms also apply. We never receive or store your full card number.
Availability
Transcription runs on our own GPU machine with a cloud fallback, so the Service can be interrupted by power loss, maintenance or provider incidents. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation and offer no service-level agreement unless agreed in writing. We may change the Service and these terms; for material changes we post the new text here and, where required, email you at least 30 days before they take effect.
Liability
We provide the Service with reasonable skill and care. To the extent the law allows, it is otherwise provided “as is”, without implied warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose or USD 100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profit, revenue, data or goodwill. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or your mandatory consumer rights.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or end access for material breach, unlawful use, copyright abuse, a security risk or where the law requires, with notice where practical. If we end your access without cause, we refund unused purchased credits pro rata. If we end it for your material breach or unlawful use, unused credits may be forfeited where the law allows. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination do so.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the state and federal courts located in Wyoming have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protections of the country where you live. Before starting proceedings, email hello@sagozen.digital and give us 30 days to resolve the dispute in good faith.
Privacy
SAGOZEN LLC is the controller of the personal data described here. This notice covers the website, the API, support conversations and the emails we send.
What we collect
- Account: email address, display name, language preference, session identifiers and sign-in metadata.
- Guests: a random guest identifier stored in a cookie, used only to apply the free daily limit.
- Jobs: the source link or uploaded media, duration, options, status and credits charged.
- Outputs: transcripts, captions and summaries.
- Payments: credit ledger entries, pack and payment references, and the payment provider’s transaction, refund and chargeback identifiers. Card details and billing addresses are collected by the payment provider, not by us.
- Support and operations: messages you send us, job and error status, rate-limit counters and operational logs.
Why we use it
To provide the Service (contract), take payments and keep accounting records (contract and legal obligation), keep the Service secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interest), and send service and transactional email (contract). We do not sell personal data and do not use your media or transcripts for advertising or model training.
Processors
- Cloudflare: hosting, Workers, D1 database, R2 file storage, email and security services.
- Email delivery: Cloudflare Email Service, Resend or Postmark, to send sign-in and transactional email.
- Stripe and Paddle: payment processing, taxes, invoices, refunds and chargebacks, depending on the checkout used.
- OpenRouter: only when you request a summary; the transcript text is sent to the selected language model. Free models may log prompts, so do not request summaries of sensitive content.
- Advisers and authorities: where needed for legal, accounting or security advice, or where the law requires.
Transcription itself runs on machines we operate. Some processors handle data outside your country; where required we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Retention
- Uploaded and fetched media: deleted at the first daily clean-up after it is 24 hours old.
- Transcripts, captions and summaries: deleted at the first daily clean-up 30 days after the job finishes, or sooner if you delete your account.
- Account data: until you delete your account, then hard-deleted after a 30-day grace period.
- Billing and ledger records: kept in minimised form as long as tax, accounting, fraud-prevention or legal duties require.
- Operational logs and metrics: short operational windows (worker metrics 14 days).
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your data, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent. From Settings you can export your data and delete your account; deletion revokes sessions and API keys at once. For anything else, email hello@sagozen.digital. We may need to verify your identity, and you may also complain to your local data-protection authority. The Service is not directed to children.
Refunds
- Unused purchased credits can be refunded within 14 days of purchase. Email hello@sagozen.digital from your account email with the payment reference.
- The refund is the pack price multiplied by the pack’s unused credits, divided by its total credits, rounded down to the cent, and goes back to the original payment method.
- Used credits are not refundable. Free usage and expired credits are not refundable either.
- Failed jobs are credited back automatically; you do not need to ask.
- Cancellation: there is no subscription to cancel. Credits are bought one pack at a time and nothing renews.
- We may decline a refund where there is evidence of fraud or repeated buy-and-refund conduct. If you open a chargeback, we may remove the matching credits and pause the account while it is reviewed. Nothing here limits your mandatory consumer rights.
Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- transcribe media you have no right to use, or bulk-download content you have no rights to;
- infringe copyright, privacy or other rights, or record people unlawfully;
- process unlawful content;
- attack, probe or overload the Service, bypass limits, or share API keys;
- try to reach another person’s account or jobs.
Copyright and abuse reports: if you believe media was transcribed without the right to do so, email hello@sagozen.digital with the link or job reference and the basis for your claim. We remove the transcript and suspend the account where needed.
Cookies
We use only cookies needed to run the Service:
- Session: keeps you signed in.
- CSRF token: protects forms and API calls made from the browser.
- Language (
td_locale): remembers the language you picked. - Guest (
ta_guest): a random identifier that applies the free daily limit when you are not signed in.
Your light or dark theme is saved in your browser’s local storage. We run no third-party analytics or advertising trackers, so no consent cookie is set. Clearing cookies signs you out.
